I love cake. The movie ELF makes me giggle. And I adore summer.
I'm a Midwest girl through and through. I’m a mommy of two gorgeous little girls. I drink smoothies for breakfast every morning. I like to dance. I’m learning to surf. I won a few Sports Emmy's working for ESPN. Most important to me though? My faith. Love me some Jesus most of all.
I love photographing itty bitty babies, children and those inbetween years. I love capturing those first, few days when the babies are still squishy and sleepy. When they sleep all day and curl their little fists into balls just like they did when they were still growing inside you. Those first two weeks will be a blur, but by capturing those precious days, you will have a keepsake for a lifetime.
Little kids make me laugh. I love their curiosity with the world. I love that they speak without filters. There’s no wondering where you stand with children.
The age shortly after childhood, but not quite yet those teen years is an age that I am falling more in love with photographing. Those years when they’re beginning to discover who they are and what they’re passionate about….
I’m not your typical photographer. I like whimsy. I like incorporating props into sessions that I find in antique stores and junk shops. I’ve transported a piano to a river bank. Had a stage built for my front yard. Captured Christmas traditions at the shore of the ocean…. I like shooting the unexpected.
I love bringing an idea I’ve been dreaming up for months into a session. I love capturing big cheesy smiles and those serious expressions. Each piece of the process is an experience... from the location, to the clothing, to the props and most of all, you.
